The Grizzly Bear, Revisited…

Fear is a FEELING.

You feel hot, You feel cold, You
feel afraid. Fear cannot kill You. It is simply a
Feeling.

Your Subconscious Mind generates feelings in
pre-programmed reaction to events or other stimuli. It
taps into the Emotion Energy source located in the
solar plexus and polarizes it Negative to produce the
Feeling of Fear.

BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF FEAR

Fear triggers the Flight or Fight Response in Your
body. This increases Your chances of surviving the
attack of the grizzly bear.

The Response is designed to last only a few minutes.
After a few minutes, You will either have escaped the
grizzly bear or You have died. In either case, You no
longer need the Flight or Fight Response (FFR).

The FFR causes the secretion of two hormones. The first
hormone, adrenaline, increases Your heart rate and
dilates Your blood vessels. This increases the flow of
blood and oxygen to Your brain, nerves and muscles. You
thus have greater speed and reflexes to outrun Your
slowest companion. If You are alone, You have increased
strength, stamina, reflexes and strategy to mortally
wound the grizzly bear.

The second Hormone, glucocorticoid, shuts down most of
Your body’s other systems:

The reproductive system – You don’t need to be
concerned with seduction while the grizzly is chasing
You.

The digestive system – normal liver and pancreas
function and the processing of food are not important
while Your life is threatened.

The immune system – fighting off viruses is not a
concern while the beast is bearing down on You.

The cognitive system – clear thinking and problem
solving are of no concern while dealing with the
grizzly.

ALL Energy is being diverted to Flight or Fight.

If You are frequently afraid – suffering from chronic
stress, then Your reproductive, digestive, immune
and cognitive systems are not functioning a lot of
the time.

Do You often suffer with cold symptoms?
A stressed immune system leads to frequent illness.

Do You have frequent headaches?
An out-of-balance digestive system leads to disease.

Are You having difficulty getting pregnant?
Chronic stress.

Muddled thinking? Chronic stress.

2 Little Words That Scream, “Network Marketing Scam!”

2 Words that Scream SCAMWord #1: probably the biggest scam ever run on people in MLM network marketing is the powerline.

The worst thing you can ever do building your business is to create fear of loss. It’s the worst way to build your business. Oh, yes, it definitely works – to get people in. But you have a totally false business, because you’ve got a bunch of people, and none of them ever does anything.

Word #2: Many companies that do a powerline – or even a binary or a matrix – focus their promotion talk on spillover. Now, I have met people who have gotten spillover, definitely. BUT – none of the people that were spilled over on them ever did anything! Why?

Because the promise of “spillover” creates a welfare mentality. What happens when you tell people, “Oh, get in NOW, and you are going to get spillover!”

They’re afraid of losing something for nothing. So they do get in now – and then they sit and wait for all that spillover to make them rich.

Isn’t That A Wonderful Business Plan?

It’s like joining a binary because you can get a position that already has $1 million volume in the strong leg. The reality is, you don’t make a dime, unless you build the weak leg, But people get so worked up about losing that “$1 million position”, they join – and never do anything, and never earn any income.

So never forget those words, powerline & spillover. Anytime you see them, their purpose is to promote the welfare mentality. Something for nothing, something for nothing, something for nothing.

The fact is, you are in network marketing. Network marketing is a business that takes work. It’s net-work marketing, ok? it’s not net-free marketing. It’s not net-spillover marketing. It’s not net-zero marketing, it takes work. Anything you do that promotes the “something for nothing” mindset will not work. End of story.

But you will draw in a bunch of couch potatoes who are convinced that you are going to build it for them. Matter of fact, you can even give them your bank account number, and you’ll just pass the money directly to their account. They don’t have to leave the couch. They can stay on the couch, drink their beer and watch a football game. No problem.

Use Those Two Words As A Tip

Whatever company or whatever distributor is saying them to you, that is not the company or the person you want to depend on long-term. They will not be successful. Keep on looking. There are lots of good companies & MLMers out there. Keep looking, and you’ll find the right mentor.

Spotting MLM Cutthroats

At the bottom of page 11 of Success In 10 Steps, you see a reference to “greed and ego.” That gives you another good point to make with your prospect.

Prospects don’t come into this process thinking about “greed & ego”. But if they have experience in MLM, there’s a good chance they’ve already run into the problem. It’s worthwhile pointing out that the greed & ego of sponsors and/or companies is one of the reasons so many prospects are never successful in network marketing.

Let them know how important it is to have their radar up and operating sensitively.

This doesn’t mean you search for some Pollyanna who lives their life only for others. Putting yourself first is the natural order.

What it does mean is that you MUST avoid sponsors whose goal is to be successful no matter who they have to step on. You want someone who is determined to be successful by creating those win-win relationships with others.

A lot of times, you can actually hear this in their voice and in what they say about the business and about others. One of these clowns once told me that 95% of all prospects were dead wood, and he just kicked them out of the way. Not only was he proud of it, but he thought anyone who didn’t do that was a fool. What more could you possibly need to know about this guy?

So you’ve got to watch and listen and train yourself to spot “greed & ego” before you join a company where you are smack-dab in the middle of it. Your best bet is definitely to avoid it from the start. Once you are in a group dominated by the greed and/or ego of its leader(s), you are lost. It’s a situation you must train yourself to see and walk away from.

I appreciate you!
